Shirley Koller is a Washington, D.C. resident who is actively engaged in blending her talents as a sculptor and curator. She exhibits her sculpture in local venues and on the eastern seaboard. She is juried into many competitive shows and is invited to exhibit her work in special exhibitions. She has a Master of Fine Arts degree from American University, and a B.Sc. from Case/Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art. In 2001, Koller received the Alumni Hall of Fame Honor from Shaker Heights High School, Shaker Heights, Ohio.

~Early in 2007, she will participate in "Sculpture Now 2007,” a juried exhibit at Washington Square, Washington, D.C., with the Washington Sculptors Group.
~In Spring 2007, she will show at Washington Square with the Tri-State Sculptors Education Association.
~In April 2006, the artist was invited to show her sculpture at the Artisans Center of Virginia in Waynesboro, Virginia, and was a featured artist at the Imago Gallery in Warren, Rhode Island. She also exhibited at the Arlington Arts Center, in Arlington, Virginia, and at the Craven Arts Council and Center in New Berne, North Carolina in November and December 2006.
~In May 2006, the artist was invited to give a lecture and slide presentation called “The Joy of Sculpture” at the Jewish Community Center in Rockville, Maryland.
~In her position as a curator, Koller develops and designs art and science exhibits at The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) with headquarters building in Washington, D.C.
~In June 2001, she participated in an International Art and Science meeting at Tsinghua University in Bejing, China, and exhibited a painting at Beijing's International Art Museum.
~In December 2002, Koller participated in a Publication and Communication Science and Technology International Conference in Cape Town, South Africa. At that conference, she presented a poster session, where she showed and discussed announcements of artwork which emphasize the relationship between science and art.
